Apple Iphone Keeps Freezing

iPhone won’t turn on.?
My iPhone 3GS won’t turn on no matter what I do. The apple thing stays on the screen with the spinning loading thing for hours. My computer recognizes the phone when I plug it in but when I try restoring it it says I need to update it first, and when I update it my iTunes keeps freezing and quitting automatically. Is there anything else I can do?
Take it to the Apple store. The only thing I can suggest 1st is maybe you need to update itunes then try.
