will the new apple iphoen 3g work on verizons network. i know its cdma, and iphone is gsm but look at new spec

CDMA and W-CDMA aren’t the same thing. W-CMDA is a type of 3G cell network (upgrade from GSM).
Verizon’s CDMA is actually called cdmaOne. It’s a type of 2G cellular network (like EDGE). The 3G version of CDMA would be called either ED-VO or CDMA2000.
Why they named it the same? No idea.
