How do I get wireless internet in remote places?
I’ve heard of this thing called “satellite internet”, but I need someone to explain this concept to me. It seems like I need a huuuuge satellite receiver, but i need this internet internationally and on the go. So far it seems like the only way to do it is to get an international phone that can be used as modem, and have an international data plan from an american service provider like sprint or att. Any suggestions besides that? PS. I need it only for three months, so anything with long-term contracts won’t work =
att offers a global data car that you can buy for $299.99 with no contract….after three month you can turn around and sell it on ebay for about $250. satellite internet requiers a dish and a reciever…the intial cost would about 400-500 for the equipment….another way is to buy a Quad band GSM phone and use it as a modem……
