Can Smart Phones Fax
I have no dial tone on my house phone after trying to send a fax?
i have a HP computer and a All in one HP photo smart which i tried sending a fax on. For some reason the fax didnt work. So after unplugging the line and trying to hook up the house phone again. The house phone has no dial tone whats so ever. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting everything. When i try to call the house phone on my cell phone it says the line is busy but sometimes the number shows up on the caller ID on the t.v
Can anyone help?
Keep the fax disconnected and let the phone line restore itself. If you don’t have dial tone after 5 mins. you need to check the phones in the house and see if any are off the hook.
If not and you live in the USA, and don’t have the inside wire plan, you have to make sure your problem isn’t the jacks, wires or phones or the phone co. will bill you.
Take a good phone outside and remove the jack wire going into the house. Oh, your wires are in a grey box labled network interface. If you don’t have one, call the phone co. for repair.
If you have one, plug in the phone and if you have dial tone, the problem is inside and yours to fix or have someone fix it. No dial tone, call the phone co. for repair from your cell.
