Band cell phone question?
What cell phone has better call quality? CDMA or GSM? and what is best in CDMA … 800 or 1900. CDMA 800 MHz my phone is pretty good .. but has a small amount of static in the background. If it is 1900 that the static gone? thanks
In my experience, CDMA and GSM 1900 (Sprint and T-Mobile) offers the best call clarity. The 1900MHz has a downside, however. Their signals not penetrate as well through objects and to the GSM (Cingular) and CDMA (Verizon) 800 signals. So Yeah, the static could go, but first make sure that is not just the phone. Many times (one of my Cingular Razrs made) is just the phone. But overall, if you are looking for clarity, I have found Sprint has the best clear calls, but its coverage can suck compared to Cingular, haha.
