Does working in a cooler/freezer kill cell phone battery life?
My boyfriend works in a cooler/freezer at a warehouse. He never parts from his cell phone (says he takes it in there to tell the time). Anyway he is under the impression that simply having the phone in such low temperatures kills the battery life. Even if he hasn’t used it much all day and started work with a full battery. It’s an on going debate between the two of us. He has the Sprint HTC Diamond.
P.S. he wears the phone on his hip.
No, it will not hurt the battery. The phone is in his pocket and gets heat from his body and is not directly exposed to freezing temperatures. Tell BF that batteries are cheap if he needs a spare.
