Cell Phone Extension Plans
Do I have to have a contract extension if I’m just upgrading my cell phone?
My mom and I are both currently due for phone upgrades. We both want the Samsung Impression. However, we don’t want to have to pay the full phone price because it’s crazy expensive, but the Impression refurbs on the AT&T website are out of stock. I just don’t feel like waiting until they’re in stock again, so I went directly to Samsung’s website to look. I found the phone, went to upgrade it, but it asked me then which plan I wanted or which contract extension I wanted. So, my question is, do I just do a contract extension of the plan that my family is already on? Or should I not have to do any kind of extension at all? Hope that’s not too confusing! It is to me! haha!
When you upgrade, you sign a new contract. If the plan you’re currently on is still being offered, you can choose it.
