Does the funny guy really get the girl?
I mean, i know how to make a person laugh, especially once i get to know them, but i know there’s more to that when in a relationship. A girl i’ve been currently tryin to “get with” is one of my most serious victims of involuntary laughter(lol) but it seems like she sees me as nothing more. She was recently told me some problem about how it’s unfair that her family uses up all her cell phone minutes, and then she proceeded to say “I’m sorry to dump all that on you”.
First thing that came to my mind was “really? does she really have to apologize for something that small?” I mean if u can’t talk to friends about problems, what makes them friends?
So i noticed that most of my (female) friends are like this. I try to hold back on the funny, but you know how it is, all u jokers out there, when something comes up and u can’t help it but just ignite the room with laughter.
How do i show that i have a deeper emotional side to be more of a friend??
Does she know you like her? Funny guys are generally more likely to get the girl. Believe me, I have been victim to a funny guy before, and despite being rather geeky, 5’6 (I usually go for guys over 6ft), with flaky skin I still fell rather badly for him, as did a lot of girls in my college. In fact, the majority of girls he was friends with fancied him. You wouldn’t expect it when looking at him. Crazy aye?
Thing was with him though that he was VERY confident in himself. I think he knew he wasn’t the most physically attractive guy, but he knew his sense of humour “wooed” the girls. He would constantly make jokes in lessons and have the whole room in tears, everyone knew him and everyone loved him. When chasing me he’d offer me lifts everywhere, text me every now and then, ask me places, and even though I wasn’t interested in him at first and kept denying his advances, he still pursued. He even made it jokey when I denied him too which lightened the air and menat I wasn’t going to avoid him.
Anyway, cutting a long story short, you’re funny, perhaps not cocky enough? If you want the girl just be confident in yourself and then once you have her you can show you have deeper emotional side. She probably realises you do already anyway, as she is dummping all that stuff on you.
