Help with keeping my same cell phone number?

Hi!
I just changed cell phone service and went from verizon to at&t. To save money I went on my grandparents service. They live in FL and I live in MD. Now I have a FL number and really wanted to keep my old number (which I still have on my Verizon phone) is there any way to port that number over to my new phone? Thank you.

yes there is. just call at&t and tell them what you want to do. they will term your new number and transfer over your old number. it will take some time though. verizon hates porting numbers over.
