Cell Phone Rice Trick
Will the cell phone rice drying trick work in my situation?
I dropped my Blackberry Pearl in the pool earlier today (I know, I’m an idiot). As soon as it fell in I grabbed it and took the battery out as soon as it was out of the water. The screen was still on when i took the battery out. However, after this, I saw water starting to appear behind the screen, and the part that turns red after water damage was red. After about 3 hours in rice, there was still water behind the screen. I plan on waiting two days, but does anyone have any idea if my phone will be resuscitated?
it sounds like you should be fine. 2 days may be enough but id definitly wait 2 days after you see the last of the water disapear.
it might take up to a week or two.
the only thing you need to make sure of is that its dry when you turn it back on.
it can be wet for a long time without damaging it as long as there is no electricity going through it.
