Cell Phone Screen Replacements
Can I unlock an old unused cell phone and give it to my son to replace his current phone?
My son has a cell phone that the screen no longer works. I have several old cell phones that we don’t use anymore. (Everytime we extended our contract, we got new phones.) Can we unlock one of our old ones and put his information in for his carrier? He has 6 months left on his contract and doesn’t want to extend or have to buy a replacement phone.
The phones we have were with U.S. Cellular. He is with Symmetry.
If your phones are GSM and your son is with a GSM network, you can unlock one of the phones and it should work with his sim card.
