Is slamming on breaks bad for tires/break pads?
I just experienced a bad driver (this driver was on a cell phone!) I was proceeding forward and she didn’t see me and made a left turn RIGHT in front of me. I had to SLAM on the breaks to stop.
My tires, break pads and rotors are brand new. Could the sudden stop have damaged them? I heard the tires squeal. I’m always very careful on my breaks and tires… I just hope that this didn’t break, wear, or hurt anything on my car.
Please help!
