Can you interpret my nightmare?
I’ve been having terrible nightmares lately, the kind that make you wake up and feel really weird after, like it really happened. You kind of just sit there in your bed, stunned.
Well anyway, my grandparents are extremely close to me — I live with them — and the dreams I have seem to always include them. Anyhow, I called their cell phone in the dream because they weren’t home like they normal were, but when it picked up, I heard guitar music and then breathing. I asked who it was and the man, very bone-chillingly, said “the mouth popper.”
I didn’t want to envision a gun killing them through the mouth or anything, but that’s exactly what came to mind. Then I woke up. What does this mean? Why do I always have dreams about my grandparents dying? And how can I help get rid of the after-shock pain of nightmares?
When I was little I always had nightmares about my friends and family dying all the time! I got stunned too. It’s just your afraid of that happening to them. Now I barely have any dreams about them because I just know thats not going to happen to them. In this one dream I had, my mom, dad, sister, and I were in a boat in a deep forest and we went down a waterfall with sharks in it. I was the only one who survived, and I woke up feeling weird and somewhat relieved that it wasn’t real, but theres many more. The after-shock? I don’t know if this will work but when your about to fall asleep or something, tell yourself that dreams are not real but if nothing works then I would consider seeing someone that could help you. Like a dream therapist, if they even have that profession. Just to tell you this came from my own head, if this doesn’t help you, I’m sorry maybe someone else will.
