Becoming a Technology Tester?
I want to know how to be a tester for various technological tools such as cell phones, iPhones, iPads, printers, routers, etc….
How would I go about even trying to get a job like this? Who do I contact?
There is a demand for tester, but testing is a rigorous process and requires diligence. You usually need a degree in engineering or a related field. You either work for a company testing a limited number of products or you work for a lab that test products. You do test during development and to determine if a product meet the requirement of the purchaser.
Another aspect of product testing is human factor engineering or ergonomics. Not only do you need to know that it works, but is it easy to use and does the user find it useful.
There are also product reviewers. They write reviews of tools and products that you use or purchases. I would recommend writing a lot of reviews. A good place to do this is Amazon because you also get feedback of how useful your reviews are to other people and Amazon also tracks the number of reviews. The idea is get experience in writing and to get feedback about how useful what you write is for potential buyers.
