Cell Phone Voltage Converter
What kind of voltage converter do I need in order to use my cell-phone battery charger in USA?
I live in Israel (probably Europe type of voltage) and when I tried to use my charger with a regular adapter in the States it just didn’t work, and also my other electronic devices. On the charger itself it says: input: 100-240V~50/60Hz.
Here in North America, we use 110V, current is proabably too weak for your other equipments if you guys use 240V in Isreal, similar to Asia.
However, in the case of your charger, you don’t need a converter. Like laptop computer, there is already an in-built converter in your charger. You should be able to plug it in as long as you have the right adapter.
For other electronics where you do need an external converter, you have to get one that converts from 240V to 110V in order to use them in N. America.
