do the verizon wireless celpphones : Motorola Q & the Verizon Wireless XV6700 have internet in them (not web browser).

Those phone are internet ready, they may be used to access the internet if you buy the data plan from Verizon.
Then you may use it as modem to connect to your laptop.
Or just use the phone to browse the web, but of course not all the contents can be fit into the small screen, not all the web sites can be displayed on the mobile web browser.
