Cell Phones As Hotspots
Can you buy a used wifi cell phone and use without plan?
My ultimate goal is to buy a used cell phone that is wifi enabled and then install Truphone on it. This will allow me to make free (or very cheap) phone calls to people around the world. It would be much cheaper than using any phone service currently available. All that I need is access to the internet. My question is: if I buy a used, wifi enabled cell phone, will I be able to use it to access the internet for free at wifi hotspots (college campuses, mcDonalds, etc.)?
Although not very practical (won’t be able to use it in rural areas), I’m doing it just as a neat little hack.
if it has microsoft windows mobile OS in it then yes you can.
