Do i need a phone carrier if i just us a calling card ?
I own a 3 year old cell phone and i just need it for a couple of months. So can i just buy a generic calling card without having the basic service of a carrier service ?

No. YOur old carrier likely still has dibs on your phone. It’s probably “locked”. You should just buy a convenience-store or WalMArt pay as you go phone.
