Cell Phones Soldiers
Are soliders allowed to have cell phones during AIT at Fort Lee in Virginia?
My Fiance has AIT at Fort Lee in Virginia and he arrived there saturday for reception and his official start day is Monday (July 20, 2009) and on sunday the sergeant made an annoucement that he wanted all soldiers downstairs with all electronic devices including laptops at 1900 so i was wondering did they take there phones and when will they get them back?
My brother is in AIT right now… he has his cell phone, but they are only allowed to use it at certain times.
I accidentally called him on an off time, and he had his ringer on…. he had to do 50 push ups for it.
They are probably doing some sort of orientation about what is allowed and what is not allowed with regard to electronic devices.
For example… my brother isn’t allowed to take pictures during training time or photograph weapons…except for his rifle. …for security reasons.
