Fbi Cell Phone Listening

Hacking into a mobile phone?

So i was talking with a friend, and he was telling me that their is a way people could hack into other peoples cell phones.

His story went something like:

A BF didnt trust his GF, so he paid for some sort of program (70$)..and whenever she got a call, the call would also go to his phone, and he could listen in on the convo without her even knowing..

now when i heard this i thought impossible, how could you invade someones privacy like that legally?

i understand if the government, fbi ect..could do that.

but is it really possible to track/hack into peoples lines like that?

also i dont mean like in the area, i mean like no matter where the person is whether it is 25 miles away still possible..

It’s possible but not practical. It’s very rare for a hacker (phreaker really) to gain unauthorized access into a phone over the internet. What is more likely, however, is for malware to be covertly installed on the device like stated above.

As for the government, I seriously doubt doing so is probable law enforcement behavior. If the government needed to know your location, they would probably just triangulate your cell signal using three towers, or access your device’s GPS using emergency features. And as for eavesdropping on your calls and data, they would just install a tap on the network for your particular device, or use another method or network eavesdropping with a similar result.

CELL PHONE (FBI can listen to you when phone is turned off)
