Free Iphone Tracker App
iPhone app wont switch off!?
I downloaded a free ‘Pill Tracker’ app to remind me to take a course of antibiotics. The app itself was fairly confusing to get working properly but once i figured it out it was very handy and i didn’t forget a single dose. Once id finished the course of antibiotics, i went to turn off the notifications, but the app was still reminding me 3 times a day! Then, I changed the date of the course so it said I finished taking them the previous day but i still notified me to take them. This went on for 2 days while i tired loads of different ways to switch off the notifications but after nothing worked I just deleted the app. Even after ive deleted the app, i’m STILL getting notifications to take the tablets 3 times a day, its driving me mental that i cant stop them, does anyone know what to do?? Ive connected my iphone to itunes and updated all the apps etc, but the app doesn’t even show up on any of the app lists!!! Its possessed!!!!!
Try a few things:
1) Open iTunes with your iPhone connected to your computer. Click ‘Apps’ on the left hand side just above ‘Ringtones’. It should show you every single app you have purchased for your iPhone. Find the one you’re looking for and move it to your Trash Can or Recycle Bin.
2) In iTunes again, click on your iPhone and hit ‘Restore’. This wipes all the data from your iPhone and then sets it back to its original state. If your computer backs up all you settings, contacts etc it’ll end up the same as it was before you wiped it, hopefully without the annoying pop-ups. (Make sure first that your computer does back up all your data… you can tell when you choose to sync your phone if it says ‘backing up..’ )
If this doesn’t work, reply to my comment. I work for a website called TodaysiPhone.com, and so I should be able to find an answer if neither of these suggestions work.
