Ipad In Education Presentation

If I am a college student, can I write off the purchase of an Ipad on my tax deductions?
I am currently a college student and an Education major and I want to purchase an Ipad 2 in order to use it to create multi-media presentations/ lesson plans for my field experience/student teaching and eventually my classroom. Since I want to get it for career use and I am a student, do you think I could write it off as tax deductible? If so, what percentage (if you know for sure or have an educated guess) of the purchase would I be able to get back?

None. It’s not deductible as it’s not required by the university for attendance. Being of use is not enough.
