Can Ipad be used as a computer?
OK, so I have a choice between the Ipad and a Laptop. What I want to know is if i can use the ipad just like a laptop. I heard there’s this thing called “Remote Desktop”. Where you can access your PC through your Ipad. It’s a real app and about 30.00. Well, I also like how there’s an app to control your house. I really like that. I want the Ipad for entertainment as well as being useful. My moms always complaining how im on her computer to much. So I’m gettin my own little thing to keep me company. Please Help!!! Thanx!

Get a laptop. They’re a lot cheaper (for even a good one), and you’ll enjoy not having a locked down device like the ipad. You can access a desktop remotely from any laptop out there, and with free software as well. But if you like having a locked down device with no USB, no HDMI out, no card reader support, no camera, and a 1024×768 4:3 screen that’s way behind the curve, then by all means, go buy a rediculously expensive ipad.
