iphone adapter cables
How can i use my iPhone to play music in the car?

My car has an adapter i can plug my iPod into (older model iPod) to play music through the car audio system. Now i’m getting an iPhone(4) and i wonder if there is an adapter from my iPod cable that will allow me to plug in and play music from my iPhone in the car?
the cable in the car is not a headphone plug, it’s the same plug that the iPod uses to plug into a docking station.

The same plug will go in to the iPhone’s headphone jack just like when you connect the iPod.

Edit: the dock connectors are identical too. FYI: you can download the iPhone user guide now at Apple.com/support.
