Iphone Adaptor

Help adaptor to plug my guitar and earphones into my iPhone?
I put a double adaptor Jack into the iPhone Jack plugged my earphones into one side and my guitar into the other plug ( just like the guitarbud adapter) downloaded a guitar amp simulator app but the guitar sound doesn’t work, the earphone part does??? Any ideas
The coupler is probably just a stereo connector, the GuitarBud uses a special 3 conductor connector (stereo is just 2), so that it can send a stereo signal to your earphones and receive a mono signal from your guitar.
It’s not going to work. Sorry.
