Why does iTunes sometimes break up my CDs into several different “albums”?
When I download certain CDs (particularly compilations), it seems that iTunes occasionally breaks them up into several pieces with no discernable pattern such that I have several of the same album cover listed with anywhere from 1-10 songs. This only shows under iTunes on the computer. However, it doesn’t pose any problems once I upload to my iPhone.
Also, anybody know why the album covers sometime don’t transfer onto the iPhone? I have sometimes noticed that some of the album covers are completely black on my iPhone when I try to scroll through to listen to certain albums (e.g. the music notes don’t even show, denoting an absent cover–it is just black with the names of the album and song listed below).

Inspect the song file by control clicking on the song and choose “Get Info” from the pop-up list. Check the box “Part of a compilation” for each song that is part of an album.
