Iphone Headset Adapter 2.5mm

Ipod touch and iphone headset.? Apps like Midomi say you can use them with a headset that is compatiblle with ?
the iphone.
So i was wondering if I bought an iphone headset. (The one with the in-line mic) would it work,
Because the ipod touch jack size is 3.5mm and the iphone is 2.5mm…?
Would I need an adapter?
Cause I would also like to use it for skype.
Or would I need some other type of headphone/headset. If so could someone please reccomend one.

Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic work with the iPod Touch and the iPhone. Not sure about these working on a computer…
