Iphone Home Sharing Verizon

iphone home sharing verizon
Should I buy an iPhone 3G given my current circumstance explained below?

I am a 16 year old male. My parents and I currently have our cellphone service with Verizon Wireless; we have a family share plan with 4 lines on one account.
We recently switched our home phone and our internet to AT&T service.
The questions I would need resolved are:
1. Buying a 3G 8GB iPhone, what kind of service plans are available?
2. Would an iPhone be able to go on an AT&T FamilyShare plan?
3. Would it be financially better to switch from the Verizon to the AT&T, given the fact that we have 2 other services with AT&T?

Please respond with sources preferably, if you need any more information I will update this question.

Thanks to all in advance.

i am in a simmilar situation. i wanted an iphone really bad, and i have done the math many times. other than verizon has better coverage and is all around better, and the fact that my dad knows people that have the iphone on att, love the phone, but hate the service, sticking with verizon is a better deal. right now we have a family shared plan with 4 lines, 2100 minuets, unlimited text. so really my line cost me 9.99 because im not including text. with my by myself switching to att, it will cost me at least 40.00 for voice, about 20 for text, and the 30.00 iphone data plan. thats 90.00 a month not including tax. so, after a long wait, i just recently got a blackberry curve, so 10 for voice, and 30 for data. so my line is only 40 a month. its definetly not an iphone, but its ok for me at the current time. if i were you, i would just get a blackberry with verizon and try getting your mind off of the iphone (i know, its hard!)
