Iphone Killer Apps
Droid questions with apps, internet and data?
I just got my first droid (atrix) never had an iphone or anything like that before but now im over my data and i’ve had the phone for a week, i now know i need to connect to my home and work when i am there, but i don’t use that much data so i got the $15 one, i mainly will search facebook when im bored and use apps, my questions are,
1) When using the apps (i’ve been playing angry birds a lot when im bored & it’s addicting) does that use data if im not on wifi?
2) If my internet or facebook app is still running even tho im not using it, is that using data, should i force it to stop?
3) Do i need to get an app task killer?
I pretty much just wanna know what the basics i dont know are about androids
The only way to make sure you are not using data is to turn off the 3G when you are not using it. You can do that on my Droid X by going to Settings, Data Manager, Data Delivery and uncheck the Data enabled checkbox. When you want to use 3g, just check the check box again. You should also turn off Background data because that is what allows apps to retrieve data automatically. Go through the settings of all of your apps and set them to update manually. Good luck.
