Iphone On Straight Talk
iphone please help quickly!?
So I recently bought a straight talk samsung t401g and i heard that it runs on AT&T’s network hence the end of the G in the name and the phone has a sim card, can I buy an iphone from AT&T without having to pay for a plan and do I have to unlock the iphone before I can switch the sims?
1. You can buy an iPhone 4 from AT&T WITHOUT a 2-year plan, but you will have to pay $599 instead of $199. Also, you will need to purchase it in the AT&T or Apple Store, NOT Online. If you order Online you are obliged to accept the AT&T contract. Whatever you choose, it will still be locked to AT&T but since you already have an AT&T Sim card from your Samsung you can just stick it into your IPhone.
2. You can also buy an iPhone from eBay/Amazon for less, and use your existing AT&T SIM card.
3. You only need to unlock your iPhone if you want to use it with another GSM carrier such as T-mobile.
