Should I get rid of my Droid X because of its high SAR level?
Hi,
I recently bought a Droid X, not knowing about its relatively high SAR level (1.43). I am not deeply concerned about radiation, however this seems very high compared to the iPhone 3GS’s SAR limit of 0.79, and it is very close to the FCC limit of 1.6.
Is there anything I can do about the radiation level, or should I return it? I don’t want a brain tumor, as my uncle recently died of one.
I didn’t know about the SAR level until I read your question. However, it seems like everything causes cancer these days. I wouldn’t get rid of my droid just because of the SAR level. If it makes you feel better use the speaker phone as much as possible to reduce the exposure to radiation.
