HowTo: Take screenshots on iPhone using built-in SpringBoard hidden feature
While working on the Caterpillar update, we’ve discovered a fun fact – the SpringBoard can perfectly take screenshots without the help of 3rd party apps!

Here’s how: after setting a specific variable in the SpringBoard preferences file, you’re able to take screenshots of anything, including the Lock screen, and the pictures will appear in the Photos so you can instantly share them just like any other picture.

To enable:
Add http://repository.ripdev.com/ to Installer.app if you haven’t already
Install Apple Screenshot Enabler from the RiP Dev category
Take your screenshots ))

To take a screenshot, hold down Home (Menu) button on the phone and toggle the Mute button. The screen will flash and the screenshot will be saved to the Camera Roll. Simple as that!

Credit goes to Apple for implementing this… We just found how to activate and use it.

Enjoy.

install what its saying, and change the prefrences it says. Then u can take a picture of the iphones screen!
