how do i get tmobile on iphone?
hello, i am thinking about getting an iphone but still be with tmobile… i know that i have to jailbreak the iphone and all but what are the steps after that and also how to make the internet work… if anyone can help me i will really appreciate it,,, thanks in advance.
Actually you do not have to “jail break” the phone… jailbreaking only allows you to install applications from locations outside the itunes market… and would still not give you the ability to use it on T-Mobile.
You need to “Unlock” the phone from AT&T to use it on T-Mobile, not jailbreak it.
T-Mobile fully supports you bringing an iphone to their network and actually has a help department specifically for doing this…
Keep in mind two things… 1 – if you ever update your phone via itunes, it will re-lock it to AT&T… 2 – because AT&T uses non-standard frequencies/protocols for it’s 3G network, you will be limited to the much slower 2G data speeds if you bring an AT&T phone to T-Mobile.
