Is it Possible to Use the iPhone 3G With Verizon Wireless When Unlocked?
I’ve heard people tell me that this is possible, but I’ve read online that Verizon Wireless uses a different signal type than the iPhone is meant for. Is this true? If I buy an iPhone, will unlocking it enable me to use Verizon Wireless with it?

No it is not possible …the Iphone and any other at&t phone use a network called GSM which uses sim cards to make the calls. Verizon is on a network called CDMA which does NOT use simcards. So GSM phones are not compatible with a CDMA network and viceversa. ATT and T-Mobile are GSM and Verizon and Sprint are CDMA
