Iphone Voicemail Passcode

I lost my iPhone yesterday at school, I think, should I wait till Monday to do anything?
Or should I turn off the service now? Because when I called it yesterday, it went straight to voicemail, so it was off. I also have a passcode and you cant break it, my friend tried. What should I do?!
Go to school on monday early and tell the problem to school management , ask them to announce for lost mobile ,also contact the school caretakers
