Mobile Phones Affect Dna
question about phone radiation?
I was wondering, I understand non-ionizing radiation is not strong enough to pull an electron out of an atom,
but it is strong enough to move the electron and detach the atom from other atoms, thus detaching molecules.
so if phone radiation can affect the DNA molecules in your body by detaching them.
can mobile phones also change molecules of other things such as food or medicine/creams.
If my phone is near a certain food for a long time or a medicine or cream that I intend to use, can it change its structure and make it unhealthy for me?
please also explain why to me, thx in advance.
Cell phones use a low frequency of microwaves (nearly radio waves).
You are in no danger whatsoever. Microwaves and radiowaves do not resonate with the frequency of DNA. You are thinking of some frequencies within the gamma wave spectrum, which can have effect on DNA, but is on the opposite end of the spectrum compared to microwaves and radiowaves.
Your cell phone will not have any ill health effects on you due to the radiation (all electromagnetic waves are radiation, which includes visible light and radio waves) and will not alter food/medicine in a negative way.
Even gamma radiation on food will not alter food in a way that is any more hazardous to your health than cooking it in a conventional oven would (as far as any current research has shown), though medicine is another story due to more sensitive chemical structures (depends on the compound).
Long story short: Don’t worry about your cell phone. It’s electromagnetic waves are harmless.
