Can I do this if I renew my cellphone contract?
So I dropped my phone in the toilet, it’s busted. I wanna get a different but similar phone from my company, but my contract isn’t up until next April, 2011. What I want to do is get the new phone with the discount from my company and I’d be willing to renew my contract for another two years from when I buy the new phone w/ discount from the company. I have T-Mobile, could I do this.. or is it impossible? Also if not, what else do you suggest besides getting a new phone for retail price?
You can probably do this, but will first have to pay an early termination fee to cancel the remainder of your existing contract before you can start a new one. It will probably be cheaper to just buy a new phone at retail price.
