Is a mobile phone charger more expensive to use to charge a phone than a USB cable?
I have a sony ericsson phone which came with a USB cable which i usually use instead of the charger to charge the phone. Does it use less energy to charge the phone if I charge it using the USB cable instead of the wall charger? I would charge it whilst I use the computer so I wouldn’t be wasting energy by just having the computer on to charge the phone.

When Ive used the USB cable to charge it before its taken about the same amount of time to charge then phone.
Well I would think so as it is basically using power from your computers USB hub which the power is already on. If you charge from the wall then you obviously have two plugs on so i would say yes.
