How can I be sure that a specific cell phone works properly in my country?
A friend of mine who lives in Netherlands bought a Samsung c260 cell phone and wants to send it to someone in Egypt, how can they be sure that the mobile will work properly in Egypt?
Last time my friend sent the same mobile to her brother who lives in Yemen, it didn’t work and he has to send it back to her.
What are the informations I should be looking for in order to be sure that a certain cell phone is gonna work in a different country before I buy it?
It’s very simple
Your phone needs to be a UNLOCKED GSM phone
The GSM bands needed for Egypt are GSM900/1800
As long as the phone meets those basic requirments, the phone will work.
The Samsung c260 IS GSM 900/1800 so it will work. Just make sure it is unlocked so you can use it with your Egyption sim card. Simple as that.
