Mobile Phones Running Linux
Does anyone know anything about Android?
I have a htc mogul
and quite frankly i cannot stand windows
The entire interface sucks
it looks disgusting all over
I was just wondering if anyone has been able to put Android on a windows mobile phone
and i mean completely removing windows and putting the real Android on so i never have to see anything windows related on my phone ever again
(the reason i say the real Android is because someone gave me a fake linux copy that just run over windows)
so if anyone can help me that would be nice
(the reason i dont just get a g1 is because im stuck on verizon for about 2 years, i literally signed a new contract the day before the g1 came out)
you have a Buyer’s Remorse clause that allows you to drop a carrier within 30 days. I’d exercise it if I really wanted a G1.
As to your other question: the firmware flashing process is usually way beyond what even a smart IT pro can handle. The closest you might come are the XDA-developer forums, check there to see if the Russians or Poles have rolled anything lately. If someone is going to do it, it’ll be them.
