Will my Verizon (US) mobile phone work in New Zealand?
i plan to go to NZ sometime next year
when i arrive in NZ, will i be able to make calls/receive calls on it?
will it cost extra and count as long distance?
anything else i should know?

Yes your phone will work in most parts of the country, since they use CDMA like Verizon does.. It’s $2 a minute for calls, and 50 cents to send a text and 5 cents to receive one
