Motorola Cell Phones Drivers

I have a problem with my Motorola SLVR cell phone?
When I try to connect my SLVR L7c to my computer via my USB cable, I get the sound from windows indicating a failed connection. I tried to connect it once earlier today and I couldnt get windows to pick up the hardware, so I unplugged it and looked for a driver, now I just cant get it to connect. HELP!!!
You need service pack 2 If you have windows XP to get it to read your cellphone. Way to check is click start go to my computer and right click go to properties It would show you If you have Service pack 1 or 2
