Would a cell phone bought in the US work in New Zealand (on vodafone)?
Theres a new nokia phone I want which I can get cheaper in the US than here in NZ. Im going to New York in a couple of weeks. If I bought the phone THERE could it be used here as if it was a NZ phone? Or would it end up being MORE expensive??

Only if it is unlocked and not on a plan. Before you buy it in the US ask them, it must have a sim card to to work in NZ. If it is Vodafone US, it does not mean it is unlocked for Vodafone NZ. Hope that makes sense to you
