Cheap Cell Phone Plan for 1 week in London & Paris & to Call Home to the U.S.A ?
I will be spending 3 days in London & 3 days in Paris on business March 21th-27th in two weeks. Can anyone recommend a cheap Cell Phone plan while I’m there? I will be using the phone A LOT. I have heard of Vodaphone, Orange Phone,Pay as You go plans as well as phone cards. But I am not quite sure and not quite clear which is the best to chose and what the differences are…
I’ve also heard of switching “Sim Cards” but I’m not sure how this works either ..Any explanations on a cheap but decent Cell Phone would be great.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated as I will need to use the phone to get around, make calls for interviews and meetings. I’m also looking to see if I can find something to call home to the USA just to check in with a few people every night. Any help is greatly appreciated.
You don’t have to wait, untill you get there. It’s better you get a local SIM card/Cell Phone from RebelFone even before you leave US. This way you will know your local number beforehand & pay in USD.
If you already have a GSM un-locked Cell Phone, then you just buy a SIM card from them and use own cell phone OR you get a SIM & Cell Bundle from them.
You can either get a local SIM for UK & France (then you have to swap sims when you cross borders) OR get one Europe SIM card, which keep you connected all over Europe at fixed & flat rates.
