In Michigan is their an age limit on when you can purchase a cell phone?
I’m 15 and I have saved up some money and want to purchase a cell phone with MY MONEY for the phone and for prepaid cards all on my own… well I live in the country side so I can only go to the store with my mom. well she told me i can’t have a phone.. and it’s illegal for them (Wal-mart, Kmart, etc) to cell me a phone if I’m under the age of 18… I highly DOUBT it, but i could be wrong… PLEASE HELP!!
You can purchase a prepaid at any age. However, as you are a minor, your parents have complete control over you and your possessions. So, if you buy a phone and your mother finds it and smashes it to atoms, that’s completely legal.
