Reset Iphone Network Settings

What will happen if i “Reset Network Settings” on my unlocked Iphone 3g?
I have tmobile so will it lock the phone back up and put it back on AT&T. I am trying ti fix my WiFi because my WiFi stopped working and wont connect to a network. A couple of people said it worked but none of them had a unlocked iphone. If anyone know or if someone has done this let me know thank you.
It might lock your phone. What you do is go to settings and make sure your phone doesn’t lock when you turn it on or off.. Your phone doesn’t lock if something is reset, but the security code might be reset
